Terms

Tennis First may, from time to time, review and update these Terms and Conditions. Please refer to the document posted on our website (www.tennisfirst.com.au) for the current version by date.

Payments and Refunds

Full online pre-payment is required in advance if would like to secure a place in all our coaching programmes.

No refunds will be given for non-attendance lessons.

Makeup may be available if you have a valid medical reason, school functions, trip/holidays which prevents you/your child from attending the lesson, a medical certificate/appointment letter - school letter with dates - holiday pass/letter with dates will need to be emailed to admin@tennisfirst.com.au PLUS an 4-hour minimum notice to notify player isn’t attending the lesson by contacting us.

A "lost lesson" will apply for ALL lessons unless 4-hour minimum notice is given. Please contact us to cancel your lesson.

Current / Past Term Students - When a new term begins we notify when the next term commences and we request if a player will or will not continue the upcoming term. We hold bookings from the previous term for the same day and time for the upcoming new term. We need notification “before” the term commences that player will NOT be attending. If a player has commenced the term and decides not to continue for the rest of the term they will still be charged the WHOLE term fees as we pre-book the players designated class time/day with a coach and court bookings. If cannot continue due to medical / illness reason we will need a medical certificate with the reason why and the dates shown to cover ALL the weeks that will be absent for that term, with this submitted a makeup allowance will be approved for the player when ready to play. 

 

Group Lesson Special Promotion - NEW Terms & Conditions

  • Must use in conjunction with $100 Kids Active Voucher when enrolling online OR paying an invoice for existing students. If don't have a voucher then a $129 payment is required per enrolment
  • There are 2 kids active vouchers per year (Jan-June / July-Dec) that can be redeemed.
  • Term length is 8 weeks. Eg week 1 to week 8 - No extensions 
  • Valid for ANZ Hot Shots Groups (LaunchPad, Red, Orange & Green)
  • Valid for Junior Group Lessons
  • Not valid for Adult Group Lessons & University Group Programs
  • No Make ups for washout outs cancellations  
  • No Free Racquet Included - But special price option for racquet purchase on checkout 

Public Holidays and Long Weekends

We will notify all the classes if lessons will be running on a Public Holiday. Lessons will go ahead only if TFA send a message that it is on. Otherwise we will send a message to say lessons won't be on. 

Hot Weather

Lessons which are scheduled to start before 5 pm will be cancelled if the predicted maximum temperature for the day is 38c or above. This will be based on the Bureau of Meteorology's forecast at 3 pm which can be obtained via our website weather notice. Makeup lesson will be issued and no refund will be given for this missed lesson.

Any classes cancelled due to hot weather will be organised.

Wet Weather

On wet days, the decision whether to cancel lessons will be made at the courts immediately prior to the lesson start time (approx. 20min before lesson start time). Please contact TFA to see if lessons are cancelled or going ahead. Cancellation on an earlier lesson does not necessarily mean that other later lessons will be cancelled on that day. If you choose not to attend on doubtful days then you risk missing the class if it takes place.

For ALL cancelled lessons due to wet weather, makeup lesson will be organised for all private lessons washouts. Only one make up allows for adults group lessons. No washout make ups for hots shots and junior groups. No refund or invoice adjustments will be issued for washouts. Students are required to do the makeup options giving on the term otherwise it will be a lost lesson at the expense.

Supervision of Juniors

Tennis First coaches are not responsible for supervising children outside of their lesson times.

Changes to Lesson Timetable Schedules

Occasionally we may have to make changes to our published online schedule, including cancelling a published group lesson, creating an additional group lesson, or changing the day/time of a group lesson. In such cases, we will notify you and we will endeavour to keep the schedules up-to-date on our website timetables to avoid the rare occasion.

If there are insufficient enrolments by the end of Week 3 of a school term for a scheduled group lesson to be viable, we may cancel that group for the term and contact you promptly.

Anyone who has already enrolled a child in a scheduled lesson that is subsequently cancelled or changed will be offered alternative time slots or given a full refund if it was an inconvenience caused.

Holiday Clinic

Full online payment is required in advance if would like to book in the spot.
No refunds will be given for non-attendance at the clinic.

A credit may be available if you have a valid medical reason which prevents you/your child from attending one day or whole 3 days of clinic with a 4-hour minimum notice.
